How I Got Started Working At Home - Business - Entrepreneurship
For so many years I worked long hours, every day as a chief cook in an eating place. I spent a large percentage of time working for other individuals, and was not able to attend wonderful events such as marriage anniversaries, gatherings, and my children's birthday celebrations. And after taking into consideration all these factors - I opted to leave the restaurant business and start off a new journey - I planned to perform the job for myself, with my loved ones, at my own home.
Although it hasn't been a straightforward change, t had been the right move of my entire life and now I want to share with you the route I took to accomplish good results:
1. Identify your passions. Utilize your know-how.
Consider the stuff you truly like to do - For example, if you like reading and you are able to actually recognize the use of incorrect grammar - then you can become an editor
2. Explore, explore and explore!
Figure out if your brand-new business venture is actually gonna be a success! Devote your free time browsing the net for every information you'll need. Prepare yourself for any eventuality.
Here are some great resources to get you started: Entrepreneur, StartUpNation, 30 Second Commute, AllBusiness, and Businessweek: Small Businesses.
3. Speak with folks
Where are you working currently It might be worthwhile chatting with your present, or last recruiter to check if these people require any off-site workers. Naturally, if you're still presently working you'll need to tackle this issue very carefully so as not to danger your current work connection - but it never costs you anything to inquire! Should you decide to contact your employer, go armed with a definite scheme and idea. Think about how you will keep track of your work hours, what you'll be liable for, the added benefits to the organization, and set up important points you can equally agree upon.
4. Network as much as you are able to.
Any kind of brand-new business usually requires marketing, marketing and way more marketing. You'll need to make known your name, face, and expertise into the market so you are able to build a supportable home business.
Face-to-face marketing is an incredibly successful strategy, but the world wide web has made it unbelievably convenient to do all of your networking without going out of your place.
Let me suggest a few tips to help you start out:
- Be a part of a nearest small business owners circle. Carry out a little bit of study to see what other small enterprises in your region are going through, they might already have a meet-up planned. Check out if you can also get along - and don't forget to hand out business cards!
- Make use of social media sites for instance Twitter, Myspace or Facebook etc.
- Join a suitable online community and participate.
- Start maintaining a blog. It may give you a discussion board to publicize your home business and also provide you a place to make use of your unique proficiency to meet up with prospective clients and establish your online business. Take a look at Problogger - it's a great source for understanding tips on how to maintain blogs.
5. Be ready to perform the job.
Although you do the job from home, you are still managing a business. You can accomplish good results by performing these stuff:
- Make a dedicated work environment. It is absolutely imperative to have a "proper" approach to do the job from house. Set yourself up comfortably with all the products you need to perform your work properly.
- Make sure that you start your home business with the right documents. Even if you want to be a single trader, or a public limited company, do the paperwork and put in place the appropriate tax approach.
- Schedule your day. Doing work from house could be tough, you will find certainly much more distractions! If you give yourself a starting time, and an ending time you're much more likely to fulfill all of your plans.
Here's to your work-at-home success!!

SEO Basics - Content is NOT King
Ask a web designer what they think about 'optimizing' a website and many of them will tell you that "Content is King". This 'build it and they will come' mentality is downright naive -- and harmful to your (potential) wealth. Ask anyone with even basic formal training or experience in marketing the same thing -- either in the real world or the online word -- and they will tell you that it is how products and services are perceived that determine their value -- it is very rarely to do with the actual quality or usefulness of the item in question, or any other factor for that matter.
Perception is king, not reality - and the same kind of thinking should apply to marketing your website.
Think about a can of Coca Cola; does the world think of 'the real thing' or just fizzy water with colorings, caffeine, harmful acids and sugar? Yes, even a can of Coke has content, but the quality of the content is not important when compared to how the world perceives the brand.
If you want your website to get sales / customers then you have to present your content in such a way as to convert as many visitors to customers as possible. Forget about on-page keyword density and all that garbage, it's just a way for your web designer to sound clever and it's pretty irrelevant to your success on-line, as I will demonstrate. I have one website that is just 600ish words of content and a 'buy now' button and it consistently tops the search engine results, bringing a regular flow of new customers into my 'sales funnel'.
Yes, there are a few basic rules that will help you, like making sure your keywords are in the page titles, site description and so on but seriously folks, don't sweat it. Worry more about WHAT your website says rather than where / how often it says it and you'll convert more visitors to customers than ever before.
Your website should be like a sales letter not an encyclopedia. It must appeal to human emotion rather than robots. If you have to pay a copywriter, trust me it's better than leaving your content to a graphic designer any day! Yes, your website has to have SOME content, but often not as much as one might think. And of course, good quality, readable, interesting content will get you a lot further than a string of keywords repeated too often.
So, your content now evokes an emotional response in visitors. "I must have it" your potential customer thinks. Good. NOW you are ready to generate traffic in large numbers and to do that you need to spend a fortune on pay-per-click campaigns OR get your website listed at the top of the search engines for your target search words or phrases ('keywords').
There are basically two factors that will determine how well your website ranks in the search engines. Unique, relevant content and inbound 'links'. I said earlier that I would demonstrate why perception is more important than content so here goes:
When I first started trying to make a living online, I created two websites and launched them both at the same time. Both websites were targeting the same keyword searces. The first one had 30 pages of keyword rich, unique articles, written by an recognized authority in the subject and then these articles were 'optimised' to a certain 'keyword density'. I set up this website to grow by 1 new page per week after learning that search engines love regularly updated 'relevant' content. We'll call this site 'A'. It had no outbound links at all.
The second site, call it site "B" only had five pages, one page for each keyword and even then, the keyword was only mentioned once or twice on each page in addition to the page title. Keyword Density was never looked at. Site B didn't have any new content added after launch and like site A, had no outbound links at all.
Five months after launch, site A was positioned at number 34 on Google for its' main keyword target while site B was listed at number 2. Any guesses which one had the most visitors?... site B got about 400 visitors per day whilst site A got 1 to 2 visitors per day.
So surely there must be something else that site B has that site A does not. You bet. What site B had was over 200 one-way links to it from other websites in similar niches. Links are the fuel that drive the search engines!
Think of each link to your website as a 'vote' of confidence. The more votes your site gets and the higher the 'quality' of those votes / links, the more the search engines 'perceive' importance.
Next time your web designer / 'tech-head' says content is king, show him / her this article and ask why is it that sites with lots of inbound links and poor quality or limited content get more visitors than sites with high quality or high quantity content and fewer links!
So there you have it, it's really a no-brainer. Quality content is better than poor content, of course. But for success in the search engine results?...links, links and more links. Got it?

The Future of the Net: Google may lie about you - Internet
We all do it. If we want to know about anything in the world, we simply log onto our favorite search engine, type in a few words, and click "find". We then are presented with thousands of results providing us with the information that we desire. However, how true is this information that we receive? That is the question.
Now let's say you submit your resume to several companies looking for a new job. What do you think one of the first things your potential employers do? Thats right. They "Google you". They type your name into the worlds favorite search engine, to see what they can find out. Most likely they will find information that is mainly true. However this is not always the case. The problem is, if they see negative comments and lies about you, they will most certainly believe what they read.
How easy is it for Joe Schmo to purposely make his competitor, enemy, classmate, opponent, or ex girlfriend look like a criminal? Unfortunately the answer isn't what we want to hear. Just about anyone with an internet connection can personally attack anyone in the world, and make it show up in Google's search results. If you really know what you are doing you can even make it show up as the very 1st item that Google provides when you search for this person's name.
Do you know that guy that is applying for the same job you are? You have a better resume, with more experience in your field, and far more references then this fellow. However he may be making you look like a past criminal, who is hated by everyone you know, and has a tendancy to be violent when you don't get your way. All he has to do is write up a bunch of fabrications, posts them in various blogs, website forums, and even make a website himself with your name plastered all over it. Within days, these messages that he has posted all over the internet claiming you to appear as if you belong in prison will start showing up in Google when your name is searched for. These Google results will be there potentially forever.
I'm sure you're now saying, "well if someone posts lies about me, all I have to do is hire a lawyer and sue his butt off." Sorry, but it's not that easy. Actually it can be virtually impossible. There are ways to make posts, and even start your own website totally anonymously so that the messages posted are 100% untraceable. I won't go into the details of how to do this to prevent any low lives from causing trouble, however it is quite simple and doesn't take rocket science. All that hiring a lawyer can do is help you get certain messages about you removed from the internet. Sure it will cost you a hefty dollar, and probably just make your personal attacker continue to make up new lies about you and post them other places.
I can see the future of search results becoming so unreliable that we don't even feel confident in the results we obtain. Something needs to be done about this issue. I am talking from experience. If you search my name on Google, I'm apparently a promoter of online money schemes. This is totally false, but apparently when you run numerous website discussion forums like I do, where you have the decision to make about banning trouble makers, you make a lot of enemies. Sure I'm not a scammer, but if I were to apply for a job and my potential employer did a simple search of my name, he/she would definitely have second thoughts on hiring me. Thankfully I don't have to apply for a job anytime soon, so this stuff doesn't bother or harm me. In fact when I search for my name "Eddie Krassenstein" I find it kind of amusing to see how much trouble some people go through to get back at me for simply banning them from one of my websites.
So what is the solution? There certainly isn't a full proof answer to this question. My idea is that search engines like Google should provide people with a way to automatically remove posts about themselves from the search results. Of course there would have to be some guidelines. Here they are:1) You must send identification to Google to prove that you are in fact who you claim to be.2) All websites do not qualify to be "removable". For example, newspaper websites, any government websites or new agency websites would not qualify.3) Google will then also do a background check on you to make sure you aren't a serious criminal. If you are, they have the right to reject your application.
It's pretty simple and won't harm anyone. It will only protect your name from being slandered. Something needs to be done, before this growing problem ruins the credibility of major search engines, and innocent victims.

Three Keys to Success in Business - Business - Business Ideas
Three out of five consumers start a purchase process with an Internet search according to the recent Complete Online Shopper Intelligence Study. If you do not have an Internet presence you will miss the opportunity to sell to 60% of your market! However, just being there is not enough. There are over 117 million websites today. How are your customers going to find you?
Keywords. Otherwise known as Personal Branding on the Internet. Think about it. When you want to find something on the Internet you open your favorite browser Firefox, Safari, Explorer, or Chrome and do a search. How do you begin your search? You think of some key words that will help the search engine find what you are looking for. The more specific you are the better the results. If I am looking for a chiropractor and type the word chiropractor, most search engines will figure out the location of the search origin and place three advertisements at the top of the search results for chiropractors in my area. Then come the definitions followed by the Local business results with a map. This is followed by videos and finally chiropractic organizations and a few local chiropractors.
However, I would more likely type in chiropractor my_city my_state. This changes everything. The search engine no longer is trying to guess where I am located. It now knows. Now, search results 3 and beyond in my case are actual chiropractors in my city.
When choosing keywords for your product or service keep these things in mind:
1. You must get on the first or second page of the search results. Studies show very few people look beyond the search results of page two.2. Shorter key words or key word phrases are searched for more often.3. Although single word key words are the best chiropractor you will face enormous competition when choosing keywords too generic and common.
Now, lets apply this to our Blog Marketing campaign. When choosing keywords, try these Three Keys:
1. Come up with a list of 3 to 5 key words that describe your product or service. In our example we may choose: chiropractor, chiropractic, pain relief, and spinal care. Notice a few of these are phrases, not single words.
2. Add to your list things that clearly differentiate you from others. In this case we could choose San Jose, California and Fibromyalgia.
3. Post this list of key words and phrases on the wall where you can see it when you write your blogs and articles. Use these words often and in each blog. This will help the search engines identify you as relevant to the search performed and help get you listed in the first two pages of search results.
Do you have other tips for creating key words that get results? Wed love to hear from you.

At Home Teeth Whitening Kits - Low Cost Teeth Whitening - Health - Dental Care
At home teeth whitening kits have gained popularity in recent years because they are easy and convenient to use from the comfort of your own home, give great results, and the costs are not that high. In addition, many celebrities have endorsed this method to whiten your teeth at home.
Whether you like it or not, a nice smile is very powerful in boosting your self image. Whether you're trying to attract the opposite sex or seeking career advancement, having dazzling white teeth gives you an advantage. That's why many people are willing to spend money to make their teeth whiter.
So what's the cost of teeth whitening? It varies depending on the treatment method. It ranges from just a few dollars if you use natural home remedies like lemon juice and salt, and apple cider vinegar to a several thousand dollars if you choose to have it done professionally at the dentist office. Accordingly, the results you get also vary.
Professional teeth whitening or cosmetic dentistry is quite expensive and is not covered by most insurance plans. Therefore, it's not an affordable teeth whitening method to many people, especially in tough economic times. However, you don't need to worry since there are alternative at home teeth whitening treatments that are low cost.
First, let's look at a few tooth whitening products you can purchase at your local grocery or drugstore. There are toothpastes that contain whitening agents like bicarbonate of soda. These are quite cheap but it usually takes a while before you see the results, and they're not really the best.
Another low cost teeth whitening method is to use bleach-containing strips. They cost just a little more than toothpastes but give you somewhat better results. They're also simple to use. All you do is place the whitening strips around your teeth for about 30 minutes 2x a day. One problem is that the sides of your teeth may not get whitened because the whitening agent can't reach the gaps between them.
Some people prefer to use gel to whiten their teeth at home. This is another low cost teeth whitening method that give you good results. Gel can reach the gaps between your teeth and is easy to apply, requiring only a few minutes every day. Different people get different results with this treatment.
This brings us back to the at home teeth whitening kits mentioned at the beginning of this article. There are quite a few of these tooth whiteners available. The costs of these teeth whitening kits are higher than toothpastes, strips or gels but much lower than cosmetic dentistry and the results are really great. In fact, the companies claim they match those of professional tooth whitening.
Another great thing is that many of these companies offer free trials of their at home teeth whitening kits. You have to pay shipping and handling fee but they are less than $5 at the time of this writing. You will be able to see the results for yourself without spending a lot of money.
Click the link now and try one of these at home teeth whitening kits for free.
